Meet Our Founder

Wendi Czirr is the founder and heart behind Whispering Woods Wildlife, established in 2020 with a deep commitment to compassionate, ethical wildlife rehabilitation. Guided by years of hands-on experience and a respect for each animal’s individual needs, Wendi has grown Whispering Woods into a trusted refuge for wildlife in central New York. In 2025, she expanded Whispering Woods to include a canine recovery program, providing behavior-led support for lost, fearful, and displaced dogs throughout Oswego County, NY. Wendi’s calm, patient approach focuses on understanding behavior, rebuilding trust, so that she is able to care for local wildlife and help reunite dogs with their families.
